Caregiver - Rotating Weekday Schedule

We're looking for a compassionate caregiver to join our IHH family and make a meaningful difference for a wonderful client in Weedville, PA.

About the client:
You'll be caring for a kind, welcoming individual.  She enjoys companionship, playing cards, and working on puzzles. A rewarding opportunity for someone who loves building genuine  connections! 

Schedule:
This is a rotating weekday schedule from 6:45am-4:15pm (9.5 - hour shifts):
Week 1: Monday and Tuesday
Week 2: Tuesday and Wednesday
Week 3: Wednesday and Thursday
Week 4: Thursday and Friday

Shadow opportunity begins August 21, with regular shifts starting September 14 & 15.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying up living areas
  • Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, or environment
  • Medication reminders
  • Companionship and engaging activities like cards and puzzles
  • Follow care plans and document services provided
  • Maintain client dignity, confidentiality, and safety at all times

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if transportation assistance is required)
  • Ability to lift 25–50 pounds, depending on client needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong work ethic
  • 1-year hands-on caregiving experience is preferred

Job Requirements:

  • 18 years old or more
  • Have a valid ID
  • Able to pass a PA criminal background check
  • Able to pass an FBI background check if you have not been a PA resident for 2 years
  • TB Clearance
